Access information

Keyboard access should never block a grocery inquiry

The Sharp Shopper grocery department catalogue is built for people who browse with a keyboard, touch device, screen reader or a reduced-motion setting. This page explains the practical routes we provide and where to ask for help.

Accessibility statement

ACC-01
Public catalogue

Sharp Shopper publishes an inquiry-only outlet grocery catalogue for everyday food, drinks, household basics and seasonal closeout selections. We want the information to remain usable before a visit, including when a person cannot use a mouse or needs a quieter interface.

This statement describes the features presently provided. It does not claim that every page has passed an independent audit or that every assistive technology behaves identically. If a control or document creates a barrier, tell us what happened and which route you were using. A precise report is more useful than a broad score.

Keyboard routes are visible and ordered

A skip link appears when it receives focus and moves directly to the main content. The header, catalogue links, forms, consent choices and support message can be reached with the Tab key. Use Shift and Tab to move backwards, Enter to follow a link or activate a button, and the arrow keys where the browser presents a native select control.

Focus is shown with a high-contrast teal ring and an offset against the cool off-white ground. Focus is not removed to make the page look cleaner. The mobile navigation has a labeled button, exposes its expanded state, and keeps the main entry points available when the menu is open.

Headings and labels carry the route

Each page has one main heading followed by section headings that describe the subject. Links say where they go rather than relying on an icon alone. Form fields have visible labels or, in the compact support form, accessible labels that remain available to assistive technology. Error messages are placed beside the relevant field and are written as an action, such as checking an email address.

Images in the grocery catalogue have alternative text describing the pictured subject. A photograph is representative of a product type, not proof of current inventory, a named supplier or a package specification. The catalogue repeats that distinction in text because an image cannot carry a stock promise.

Reduced motion is respected

The site uses gentle reveal and reading-progress effects where the browser permits them. The prefers-reduced-motion setting removes those transitions, disables sticky figure behavior and leaves the feature sections in a straightforward figure-and-text order. No video autoplay is used and no information depends on a pointer gesture, hover state or moving element.

On a narrow screen, the editorial image column becomes a normal image followed by its caption and copy. The reading aid remains a simple progress line. A visitor can still reach every inquiry route without waiting for an animation or dragging a horizontal rail.

Readable content has practical limits

Text uses a cool slate palette, generous line spacing and responsive type. The page is designed to reflow from 320 pixels wide through large desktop screens without requiring horizontal page scrolling. Tables that contain label guidance may scroll inside their own box when needed. Browser zoom should not remove the inquiry route.

Some third-party browser, operating system or assistive technology combinations may expose controls differently. PDFs, browser extensions, forced colors and user style sheets can also alter the result. We will not ask a visitor to turn off a useful accessibility setting just to complete an inquiry.

Support is available without a live-chat promise

The support-message control can be opened by keyboard or touch. It provides a message form, optional contact fields and a phone and email fallback. It is a route for sending a question to the store contact, not a promise that someone is watching continuously or that a reply arrives within a stated time.

For direct help, call (717) 733-9555 or email [email protected]. You may also write to Visit and contact. Please describe the page, the control label, the device or assistive technology involved when known, and what you were trying to do.

A grocery inquiry can be made another way

If a form is not workable, call or email rather than abandoning the question. Give the department or item you are asking about, the pack detail you need checked and a way to reply if you want a response. Do not send allergy or medical information through a general message. For allergy information, check the actual package.

The catalogue does not take an online order, payment or binding price request. A phone or email message is still an inquiry. The current USD shelf price, selling unit, pack size and stock all need confirmation from the actual selection.

Reporting a barrier

Accessibility feedback is used to locate a concrete barrier in the public catalogue. We may need the page address, the action that failed, the text you saw, and whether the issue concerns keyboard focus, reading order, contrast, zoom, motion or a form response. Do not include a password, payment information or unnecessary personal details.

We review reports in the context of the page and available operator support. A report does not guarantee a particular technical change or a particular response date, but it gives the person responsible a usable starting point. If an urgent grocery question is blocked, use the phone number above as well.

Accessibility reports and privacy

Information sent through email, phone, the inquiry form or the support message is handled under the Privacy Policy. We use the details needed to understand and answer the request. Optional advertising and measurement storage is separate from a support message. Read Cookie statement for Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads, including gclid, msclkid and fbclid.

Requests to access, correct or delete personal information can use Data request. The request route may ask for proportionate details to find the right record. It does not require a person to disclose more than is needed.
